"Why not go out on a limb? That is where the fruit is."

When I was 14 years old, I hung out at the local newspaper—The Herald Tribune—until I convinced someone to talk to me about what they were doing.

The heady combination of electric tension in the news room, chasing stories that impact lives, the elation
of seeing a story take shape, it's fair to say I was hooked from that day on and have continued to be a story-teller ever since.

Today I'm an award-winning journalist and I have worked all over the world.
